Edward Dean is a dedicated educator, mentor, and community leader with extensive experience in fostering growth mindsets and empowering underserved youth. As the Executive Director of the Avengers Youth Mentoring Organization and the Avengers Global Academy for Young Entrepreneurs (G.A.F.Y.E.), Edward has developed innovative educational models that integrate mental health support, entrepreneurship, and leadership training.
With a strong background in education, Edward has served as a teacher and leader in various schools, where he developed engaging lesson plans, organized small group activities, and fostered active learning. His experience includes teaching middle school math, English, and African American literature. He is passionate about creating inclusive and transformative educational environments that prepare students for academic and personal success.
Currently pursuing higher education in English Language Learner Studies at Arizona State University, Edward combines academic knowledge with practical experience to address systemic challenges in education. He is also certified in Preparing for an Active Shooter, Title IX in Schools, and Teacher Ethics Training.
Edward’s research interests include community development, mental health integration in schools, and entrepreneurship education for youth. His work focuses on building sustainable programs that foster resilience, leadership, and strategic thinking among students. Through his dedication to lifelong learning and professional growth, Edward continues to make a lasting impact on the communities he serves.
