The Avengers Youth Mentoring Organization has been providing mentoring services for over 12 years. Our first mentoring services began at Hanley International Academy in Hamtramck, MI. From there we expanded our program to Hart Academy in Harper Woods, MI where we mentored the school's basketball team. With more growth, we entered Pontiac Academy for Excellence in Pontiac, MI. Additionally, we offered our services at George Crocket Academy, Golightly Educational Center, Plymouth Educational Center, Mark Twain Middle School, and Bethune Middle School all in Detroit, MI. In each of these schools, our mentorship comprised of our lunch with a mentor program, after-school 1:1 mentoring, offsite field trips for group mentoring sessions, and leadership training through our youth council. Anytime we provide our mentoring services, we follow the T.H.I.N.K method where we Teach youth life responsibility, Help youth make better life choices, Instill the importance of respect for others, Navigate the path to higher education, and Keep youth growing with opportunities for leadership.
